Kensington Sauce is a venture born from a passion for flavour and a journey of culinary discovery. Founded by Chef Kasim Ali, an entrepreneur and politician in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, our story began in October 2020. It all started with the simple desire to create an exotic hot sauce that could satisfy the discerning palates of our family and friends.
Academic & Personal Growth
Arriving in the UK from Somalia in the early 2000s, the founder, Kasim's path took unexpected turns after graduating twice from University College London (UCL)—first as an Earth Scientist/Geologist and later with a Master's degree in Global Prosperity from the UCL Institute for Global Prosperity. Life's journey led Kasim to discover the art of hot sauce making, inspired by authentic Somali recipes that evoke his childhood memories. Growing up, Kasim's older sister played a pivotal role, teaching him the joys of cooking and instilling a love for creating flavoursome dishes.
